Twelve
lovely students were gathered together hoping for the title of being Miss
Getafe 2015 during the town fiesta celebration last January 2015, since the municipality had
always thought of giving the town folks entertainment.
This year’s pageant was aiming to
seek for beauties that can bring pride to the town, so the organizers decided
to give high school students a chance to show what they got. Three students
from each high school in Getafe were qualified to compete and one of those
schools was our very own HNHS.
Marivel Torrefiel, a Grade 9
Fidelity,
Chienly Tacatani, IV year Divinity and Jewel Aurestilla Grade 9 Fidelity were
the Lovely HNHS Dolls who competed and brought the name of the school. Many
HNHS students went to the pageant night to support their schoolmate, as well as
the teachers of Handumon National High School lead by their principal Mrs.
Perlita D. Omaña.
Marivel finished second to Campao
Oriental High school’s bet and won the best in playsuit award. Though Cheinly
and Jewel were not fortunate to place in the pageant but surely they are always
a winner for all Handumonians.
