No
matter how we hate it, goodbye is a word we often hear or utter and is the
order of the day in everyone’s life. Some goodbyes bring about pain while
others beget pleasure. While someone leaves us behind, parting is still a sweet
sorrow. For friends and lovers it creates delight between or among them knowing
that they will be seeing one another next day. For workers bidding farewell to
their work may leave them emotional but at the end of the day it rewards them
with the rest they ought to have and makes way for someone new to take their
place.
Usually, the yearly issue of the
schools newsletter is filled with new faces that come to work in the school.
Students are thrilled to meet them and so are their colleagues.
This year, many were down in the
dumps because of the retirement of a person whom the HNHS students and faculties have
learned to love.
For many years of inspiring and
touching the lives of other people, Sir Nestor Enriquez or Sir Nes, as he is
called by his colleagues had to hang up his spurs, but in the very core of
those who have worked with him, an intangible yet potent mark that may keep
inspiring people through the ages.
