School Officers Take an Oath

     The newly elected officers of Handumon National High School took an oath last July 1, 2016 at HNHS ground.

     These are the school organizations namely: Parents Teachers Association (PTA), School Governance Council (SGC), Faculty Club, Homeroom PTA, Student Body Organization (SBO), Different Academic Clubs and Classroom Officers.

     Honored guest of the said event was the barangay captain of Handumon, Hon. Ramil Botero who inducted the PTA officers and Homeroom PTA officers. In his message, he emphasizes that “Dili sayon mangita ug kwarta para sa pagpa-eskwela sa inyo mga studyante”. And it is just fair to repay the parents’ hard work by studying truly, he added.

     Sir Ogie Abanggan HNHS principal inducted the SGC and Faculty officers. He compare the oath taking to the ship. The captain of the ship will not sail unless he and all his crew are fully license to function in their duty. He said “The school officers need to take an oath of office before they can legally perform their duties as an organization officers”.

    The SBO and Club officers were inducted by Jose Argie Torreon former SBO adviser. And the classroom officers were inducted by Hon. Rodulfo Botero, barangay Handumon kagawad and same time PTA president for SY 2016-2017.

     All grade level presented an intermission number to entertain the visitors. It was so fun and entertaining afternoon as this was also an acquaintance party for everyone with the theme: “Acquainting people, making stronger linkages”.
